Requests For Sample Soaps
We all like to receive something free – me included – but have you considered how much this costs in time and money for a small business?
It begins with responding to an enquiry, selecting the samples, getting them ready to be shipped and then paying for shipping. And this does not include the actual cost of the products. So as you can see, completing orders for sample requests is a costly expense for a small business.
I have been sending samples out for years, but lately I have been overwhelmed with requests for free samples. Regrettably, I have made the decision to end this practice.Â
Our Free Samples policy
Obviously I understand that if you are considering placing a large order then you want to try before you buy. But recently I have received and processed sample requests then heard nothing back. To not even say the products have arrived or give any other feedback is disheartening. It is also unfair when I have gone to so much trouble and expense to prepare there. So because of this I have updated our Free Samples policy.
If you are interested in any of our products and serious about investing in quality handmade soaps, then you will not mind paying for samples. If you then place an order, you will be reimbursed the amount billed for your sample order. I believe this is a very fair alternative for everyone involved and thank you for your understanding.
Product Feedback
If you are one of my regular customers, every now and again you may find a new product sample included with your order. I would love you to tell me what you think because your feedback is important. Whether it is good or bad, customer feedback helps me improve my products and services, so it is always appreciated.
